About
Hotel Lacky, nestled in the heart of Gwangyang-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, is a commendable choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. Catering primarily to business guests, this hotel offers a range of accommodations, from compact standard double rooms to spacious suite options equipped with a kitchenette, microwave, large refrigerator, and washing machine. Guests like Rajasegaran Rajagopal appreciate the transition to suite rooms, finding them much more suitable for longer stays due to added amenities and comfort.
While the standard double room has received criticism for being too small for extended periods, the suites stand out with their cozy atmosphere and clean linens. The beds, although noted to be a bit firm, still promise a restful night's sleep after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. The hotel’s offerings extend beyond room comfort; the breakfast, albeit not complimentary, is satisfactory with a variety of options, as Aoife mentions, making it a decent start to the day.
For those inclined to explore, Hotel Lacky is strategically located near notable attractions such as the tranquil Suncheon Bay Nature Reserve and the creatively manicured Suncheon Bay National Garden. The Yi Sun-sin Bridge, with its picturesque views, adds to the local charm. Each site provides an opportunity to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding Gwangyang.
Visitors can enjoy free Wi-Fi, accessible facilities, and free parking, which contribute to a pleasant stay. However, it is worth noting that Hotel Lacky does not accommodate pets and lacks a swimming pool, which may be a consideration for some. Overall, Hotel Lacky provides a solid base for short business trips while offering the comforts of home, making it a welcoming option for those traversing this vibrant region of South Korea.
Ultimately, despite its mixed reviews, Hotel Lacky stands as a reliable choice for travelers considering both business and leisure in Gwangyang, perfectly combining accessibility with a comfortable stay.
“ Was staying here for 1 month on business trip. Due to high occupancy I been staying in standard double room which very small in size not recommended for long stay. Then i move to suite room which was great stay. There's a small kitchenette, microwave, large refrigerator and washing machine. The bed was so comfy and clean linen. Breakfast was not complementary and you have to book for it a day in advance. I've tried the breakfast once and didn't repeat. The breakfast was so average coffee was also limited to black coffee and americano. The view from room was good. Location is also not bad. ”
“ Average hotel recommended only for short stay for business. But still you get what you expect. Quite expensive for ita value. ”
“ I’ve stayed at Hotel Lacky a few times over the years and must admit, I do enjoy my stays here. The room is comfortable, with a small kitchen. Bathroom is clean with a nice shower. The bed is maybe a little hard but it’s a small complaint. The breakfast is good with plenty variety of items on offer. Lunch is also pretty decent. Overall, I would recommend staying in Lacky if you are looking for a hotel in Gwangyang. ”
